Who builds docu.nexus
docu.nexus is built by Revolution LCA, a worker-owned engineering cooperative organized in Colorado. The people who write the software own the company.

Lemon Squeezy, LLC is our merchant of record: they take the payment and appear on your statement. The software license itself is granted by Revolution LCA. Full detail in the Terms, Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.
What docu.nexus is for
docu.nexus is a knowledge management platform for the next decade. It scales from a single person organizing their own data to an engineering team running a full documentation stack, with foundational AI capability that works on your own datasets and pricing that stays within reach of anyone who needs it. Self-hosted, because privacy and federation still matter.
Getting at your data
docu.nexus exists so anyone can keep their knowledge organized and accessible without paying enterprise rates to do it. A family, a small team, or an engineering organization can run it on their own terms, contribute to it together, search across everything they've written, and bring their existing documentation along with them. The point is to make your own data useful to you, not to gate it behind a seat license.
Built on open source
docu.nexus itself is commercial software, and open source is its foundation. We choose deliberately: it builds on well-known projects with active communities and long track records, which keeps hosting an instance realistic whether you're one person or a full organization.
Questions people ask before buying
Is docu.nexus open source?
No. docu.nexus is commercial software that you self-host. You run docu.nexus on your own hardware and your data stays with you, but the source is not published.
What happens to my instance if you stop building it?
A permanent license has no expiry date, and every license is verified on your own server against a key built into the software. Nothing checks in with us, so there is no service of ours that has to stay up for your instance to keep working.
Does my instance send you anything?
Only when somebody presses a button. There are three calls that can leave your server: checking whether a newer version exists, sending a bug report you wrote, and refreshing a license from the store. None of them run on a schedule, and there is no analytics or telemetry of any kind.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. A new instance runs the core wiki for up to three people for 14 days, with nothing to sign up for and nothing to cancel. When the evaluation ends the instance turns read-only: everything you wrote is still there and still exportable, and adding a license key restores it straight away.
What if I change my mind?
Email us within 7 days of buying and we'll refund your payment in full. No justification needed. See the Refund Policy for details.
