What it does

  • PostgreSQL is the native engine and comes included, no add-on required.
  • MySQL/MariaDB and Microsoft SQL Server are paid, instance-wide storage backends.
  • The engine is chosen once at deploy time, so it applies to the whole instance.
  • This is a storage choice for your whole install, not a per-page setting.

  • PostgreSQL The native engine. No add-on, no key. This is what docu.nexus runs on out of the box. Included
  • MySQL / MariaDB A paid, instance-wide backend for teams standardised on MySQL or MariaDB. +$30 / quarter
  • Microsoft SQL Server A paid, instance-wide backend for shops that run on SQL Server. +$40 / quarter

The engine is picked when your instance is deployed and is a whole-instance choice. Every space and page in the install shares it.
