The Editor

Pages are written in a rich text editor. There is no separate markdown mode and no source view: you type, the editor formats, and the document is stored as structured content.

Markdown habits still work. Type # for a heading, - for a bullet, **bold** for bold. Type / for everything else.

Two modes per page. Read mode shows the published document. Edit mode gives you the toolbar, the slash menu, and live collaboration with anyone else editing the same page. Your edits accumulate as a draft until you press Publish.

The toolbar sits above the page and holds seven groups: History, Headings, Format, Style, Lists, Blocks, and Insert. On a narrow window the groups fold into icon dropdowns from the right. Nothing is dropped, so the same commands are always one click away.

Two things worth knowing before you start: type [[ to search for another page and drop in a link to it, and select any text to get a bubble button that opens an inline comment on that exact passage.
