Search and Publish keep working while you are typing in a field. The rest stand down inside text inputs so they do not fight with typing.
While a dialog is open, the page shortcuts behind it stand down — only the two that open and close a dialog of their own, ⌘K and ⌘/, still fire, so you can always close what you opened. Escape closes a dialog too.
The clipboard chords are never ours. ⌘C, ⌘V, ⌘X, ⌘A and ⌘Z are not bound to anything in this app, and with text selected nothing here will intercept them.
